Hot Stuff

November 21, 2007

Today I returned to work for the first time in two months. Generally I love working at Paul’s Warehouse, selling shoes. But what I forgot about was the heat in summer. See… Paul is too cheap to get proper air-conditioning, so in summer the place is like a furnace. Upstairs, where I work, is huge, and yet it is only cooled by two old mediocre air-conditioning units. The lunch room is even worse. It is like getting in a car that has been parked outside in the sun for several hours. I was dripping sweat today after eating my kebab. Which brings me to my next point. Certain foods aren’t good to eat if you have to immediately do things after. And by certain, I mean all. I have grown accustomed to enjoying a good nap after eating, and when I have to do anything otherwise, I just feel terrible. From now on I am going to try and work pants off mode, it would make my experience, if not everyone’s, so much better.

  2. I didn’t know you could quote people. I do like it. Selling shoes is fun and easy. And it isn’t a scummy job like flipping burgers.

  4. lol, since finishing school, i no longer know what day it is, unless something happens, and while it is happening i dont remember what day it is, like at work today i thought it was wednesday and i asked a kid who was also working why he wasnt at school.
also, mum doesnt make me lunch, unless i work, so my diet is suffering.
i have lost 2 kg since 18 months ago, when i excercised regularly. but i think i have grown, so i must be fat, haha mad.

target is sorta ok to work at, i just worked 3 full days in a row and my feet hurt real bad, im getting used to it now tho… sorta.

voting today was dodgy as, i didnt like susan ley who is our present person, so i voted for everyone else above her, and put her last. but (insert name of electorate for the albury region) is a pretty safe liberal seat my dad said. and shes probably gunna get it again. so i voted 1 for someone with the first name rhonda, such a mad name. ron dog. awesome.
