The other day I was reading the news paper and I noticed two movies I wanted to see. The first was ‘The Darjeeling Limited’, and the other was ‘No Country For Old Men’. The paper describe the latter as the favourite for next years Oscar for Best Pic. I got to the movies wanting to see the Darjeeling one but it wasn’t on till late, so I decided that Old Men Country must be good, so we watched it. It was without a shadow of doubt the worst movies I have ever seen. The movie basically just has some guy killing everyone with an air pressure gun, and Tommy Lee Jones as a war veteran sheriff who is hard to understand. I seriously left the movie, not understanding much at all. The end of the movie has Tommy Lee talking to his wife, mumbling as always, and then the film just ends. I felt so betrayed. I was shocked to see that IMDb actually gave the movie an 8.8 out of 10, putting it ahead of the likes of… American Beauty, The Departed, Forrest Gump, Little Miss Sunshine and Donnie Darko. I think I’m going to have to watch the movie again, but not waste $12 on it. So disappointed…

  1. Just because you didn’t understand it doesn’t make it a bad movie. You might need someone to explain it to you. But quite possibly it’s not your kind of movie anyway. I’ll reserve judgement till I’ve seen it.
